An artist is the lead character in their own story, as are all of us. Their stories are written every day, but what makes them different from us is that ours vanish as quickly as they are built, whereas theirs, the artists’, are immortalised in their works.
All they need is a tool to turn their genius and creative flair into something real that can be shared. Tools that, in their hands, become one-of-a-kind and magical.
Genyum, however, wants the protagonists of its story to be the artists, and the unique and bohemian universe that surrounds them: their genius, their rituals and workspaces. That is the tribute that hides behind each of its fragrances.
OUR PERFUMERS
YANN VASNIER
“Perfumes should always offer vision and character.”
“Perfume has been the biggest adventure of my life. It’s taken me all over the world, but it all started in my family’s garden in Brittany”, says Yann Vasnier. Inspired by his brother’s passion for architecture, gardens, aromatic plants and flowers, he ventured into the world of perfumery after studying art, chemistry and mathematics, finding in fragrances a place for his unconventional mix of analytical and artistic skills.

Sonia Constant
“Since the beginning, I’ve felt a burning desire for creation that led me down the path of perfumery.”
“From day one, I knew that this was the job of my dreams, because it encompassed everything I love: aromas, creation, passion and fashion”, says Sonia Constante. Sonia’s open, curious attitude leads her to see everything as a possibility, even mistakes.
Her creations are very personal and contain elements inspired by her memories, tastes and encounters.
One of Sonia’s passions is to travel, and she considers it a rich source of ideas for her perfumes, which are inspired by her experiences in Namibia, Japan, India and Vietnam.
LOUISE TURNER
“For me, perfume is an invitation to reflect on beauty.”
Louise Turner first set foot in a perfumery lab by chance, as an aspiring medical student looking for a summer job.
The mix of art and science seduced her, and although it took courage and conviction to change course, she has never looked back. “What drives me most is the creative process in all its fascinating and mysterious complexity.”
Jordi Fernández
“The best way to get to know me is to smell my perfumes. They reveal everything.”
The art of traditional eastern perfumery is Jordi Fernández’s passion.
The region has had a strong influence on the perfumer and after many years of creation, he has a deep knowledge of Middle Eastern traditions.
“By visiting places and participating in the local culture, I discover a multitude of ideas for future perfumes.”
Gaël Montero
“Perfumery reflects who we are at a given time in our lives; it’s our most intimate identity, it’s something we want to share with others.”
Gaël’s career began at the University of Montpellier, where he studied perfumery. Navigating “the balance between art and science”, the mysterious profession of perfumer always appealed to him and his eagerness to learn has led him to create and discover. His sense of curiosity prevails today, learning and experiencing in the scent world.
“Collaborating with creative people is what I love most about my work.”
Amélie Jacquin
“Creating a fragrance is so deeply personal that it feels like people are wearing a piece of you.”
Imagine growing up in Grasse, surrounded by the aromas of jasmine, rose, lavender and oleander. That was Amélie Jacquin’s childhood.
She grew up exploring the flowers of the region and smelling fragrances with her mother. These childhood moments are what inspired her to take up perfumery.
Living in Paris, Amélie finds inspiration in the city where she believes “anything is possible”.
